Rocky L. Wixom, Attorney at Law
Rocky Wixom has lived in Idaho for most of his life. He is the youngest of eight children
and grew up in Twin Falls. He graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1987. During 1989 through 1991 he
served an LDS Mission in Atlanta, Georgia.
Rocky married his wife LoriAnn in 1992 and they currently have five children.
In 1995, Rocky graduated from Idaho State University (ISU) with a Bachelors of Science in Economics.
He also earned his Master of Public Administration from ISU in 1999 which he completed during his second year of Law School.
He recieved a Juris Doctor (Law Degree) from the Universtiy of Idaho in May, 2000.
Rocky has lived in Idaho Falls since October 2001, and since he began the practice of law in April
of 2001, Rocky has primarily handled criminal, bankruptcy, and family law cases.
As part of his criminal practice he has won NOT guilty verdicts, hung juries, or dismissals on various
felony Jury trials for charges ranging from Forcible Rape to Felony Drug Possession to Kidnapping to Aggravated
Battery to Felony DUI and Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
In his Bankruptcy Practice Rocky primarily represents debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases.
He has also helped folks who thought they needed to file bankruptcy find alternatives to filing. In one recent case
he successfully negotiated $50,000 of credit card debt with multiple companies down to a settlement of less then $18,000 and
his client gladly avoided bankruptcy.
Rocky handles divorces and custody cases throughout Eastern Idaho. He handles both contested
and uncontested cases. With training as a family mediator he willingly works to resolve disputes in an uncontested manner.
However, when things can't be settled amicably, he is quick to put on his litigator hat and go to the mat for his clients.
He has won numerous custody trials for his clients.
